GENERAL

What is AfricShopping?
AfricShopping is a home of quality African products. We sell online and in our retail outlet shop. Our website is open to sellers of similar quality products to sell (Gewerbeschein / Trade licence required). With the establishment of AfricShopping, we intend to facilitate easy access to African products.


BUYING

How do I place an order?
1. Check through product categories or use the search function to search for products of your choice

2. Select products and add to cart

3. Choose a payment method and pay

4. As soon as the payment is confirmed, delivery will be made.


Do I need to register an account to buy products on AfricShopping?
You do not need to register to buy on AfricShopping.

How do I contact a seller?
On the product page click “Seller Info” tab, then click on the name of the seller e.g Seller: “Wale Kufor” to visit seller’s store pages, there you can fill out seller’s contact form.

How do I check a seller’s feedback?
Feedbacks can be seen on individual seller’s page, if the seller has received any feedback from previous buyers.

I hold coupon of a particular store, not general AfricShopping coupon. How do I use it?
You can use such coupon by first search for the store name under store list, and then do your shopping in that store; there you can apply your coupon code when checking out.

What payment methods are accepted?
Payment can be made either through direct bank transfer or PayPal. Through PayPal you can also pay with your credit card if you don’t have a PayPal account.

How do I check my order status?
You can check your order status by clicking onTrack My Ordertab or log in directly into your account. You can also contact the seller directly for your order status or any other questions regarding your order.

How do I cancel my order?
If you did not complete payment, the order will be automatically cancelled. If you completed payment, for the order you must contact AfricShopping and the seller for your cancellation request.

What can I do if a seller does not ship my order and/or does not respond to my questions?
You can report the seller to AfricShopping, and we will contact the seller on your behalf to initiate a response. If he fails to respond and the complaint is for non-received order, we will try to refund the transaction.

When can I file a complaint regarding late delivery of an order?
You can file a complaint with AfricShopping after the days mentioned in our shipping policy have lapsed.

How do I return an item purchased on AfricShopping?

Can I get a refund from AfricShopping?
Yes you can, if your return meets our policy. Here you can read more details about refund policy.

Why did you send my order together in a packet, despite charging multiple shipping costs for buying from more than one seller?
AfricShopping provides shipping services to selected sellers. So, if your ordered items are from any of the selected sellers or the sellers are located in Bremen city, Germany, your order may be sent together in a packet.

SELLING

How do I become a seller on AfricShopping?
Getting started is easy! click here to register as a seller. However, existing customer who already has an account can also upgrade to seller from my account section.

Are there costs to sell on AfricShopping?
Yes, but we don’t charge either per month, per year or per product. We only charge “one-off payment” registration fee and a sales commission (currently 0.75€ plus 15% of the final value fee) which comes after a successful sale of a product on AfricShopping.com. With these fees we are able to continue providing you excellent services.

Why should I pay marketplace cost?
We are spending considerable efforts and money to drive buyers to our marketplace, from which you as a seller benefit. This small fee will allow us to continue providing you with excellent services.

Can I sell internationally?
Yes you can sell internationally. But it should be noted that taxes and buyers protection policies vary from country to country and these have to be considered in international selling.

Do I need to download special software to set up my AfricShopping store?
There is no software required to build and manage your store.

Does AfricShopping provide shipping services to ship items?
Yes, AfricShopping provides logistic assistance to selected merchants.

Is there a limit on the number of products I can sell in my AfricShopping store?
No limit to amount of products you can sell on your AfricShopping Web Store.

Can I open more than one AfricShopping store?
Yes, you can open multiple stores on AfricShopping. But each store must be registered with a unique email address and must be in accordance with our Terms of Service.

What payment options are supported on AfricShopping?
Sellers must have a valid PayPal account with AfricShopping. All Transactions are being processed through PayPal Secure Chain Transaction System. PayPal fees may be applicable. If you do not have a PayPal account, click here to open one.

What products am I not allowed to sell on Africshopping?
